Hacking Diabetes

I have always been frustrated with the lack of or restricted access to my Diabetes data to help me manage my condition. With moving from point in time data to real-time with my Continues Glucose Monitor (CGM) and Insulin Pump between 2013 to 2014 something had to change.

Unsurprisingly I am not alone with this frustration and around this time an explosion of Open Source, DIY, patient lead projects have flourished under the hashtag of #WeAreNotWaiting.

This section of my Blog is dedicated to my contribution to this movement from reducing the cost of my CGM by hacking the Transmitter to the development of HAPP a Mobile-based Artifical Pancreas System.

Thanks to the wider #WeAreNotWaiting community for which my own work is built on top of their projects \ code.
